My name is Scott Crosby and I run SQL Data Cloud.

I have been a SQL Server/Azure SQL consultant for over nineteen years and I absolutely love what I do!  I am an unashamed card-carrying geek, but I like to think I can still speak in layman’s terms to non-technical stakeholders and clients.

When I engage with clients for the first time, I like to implement my “data paranoia” – not in a fear sense but in terms of asking them what would happen if they lost all their databases tomorrow?  How long would it take to recover them? Do they take backups? Can you do a point-in-time restore? Do you practice DR scenarios?  You would be surprised how many don’t do this.

SQL Data Cloud Ltd is a Microsoft Partner and I am qualified in many versions of SQL Server: 2005, 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 & 2022. I have been awarded the Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) for SQL Server 2016 & Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) for Data Management and Analytics.  More recently I achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
